DTM Wins Annual Campus MudCup 1-0 in Overtime

Every year DTM and GL face-off in a friendly soccer match known as the MudCup, a long-standing tradition that brings our campus together both as players and spectators. This year, after scoreless first and second halves, DTM triumphed in overtime by a goal in the final minute of the game scored by Brendan McCormick, beating GL 1-0. 


Scott Selects Richard Carlson as the Next Director of DTM

On Tuesday, 4 November 2014, Carnegie President Matthew Scott named Richard Carlson the new director of DTM. Carlson stepped into the role of acting director in May 2014, and has since played an integral part in DTM's continued scientific success during the past 6 months.


The Gish Family Legacy at DTM

Oliver H. Gish

Oliver H. Gish, a DTM staff scientist who led our efforts in atmospheric and terrestrial electricity from 1922-48, died peacefully at the age of 103 on 22 February 1987. On September 11 of this year, his daughter, Eleanor Gish Crow, passed away, and left a generous monetary gift in her will to DTM in her father’s memory.
