As the Communications and Digital Media Coordinator, Cain works with scientists and institutional leaders to tell planetary science stories to a range of audiences.
Before coming to Carnegie, Cain worked with Rock Creek Conservancy, Rock Creek Park (NPS), Shenandoah National Park, the Center for Open Science, and the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History. She has her Master of Science in Biological Photography and Imaging from the University of Nottingham and a Bachelor of Science with a minor in Studio Art from James Madison University. She also holds a certificate in Science Communication from UC San Diego's Extension School. She is also a member of the Royal Photographic Society.
Cain grew up in Roanoke, VA, and can never get enough of the Appalachian mountains. She travels every chance she gets.
