In this talk Lili Alderson will discuss the importance of obtaining multi-wavelength observations for understanding the atmospheres of transiting exoplanets. Through some hallmark exoplanets, we'll take a look at what has been achieved so far with HST, recent developments with JWST, and what both telescopes will bring to the future of atmospheric characterization.

At the Earth and Planets Laboratory (EPL), we combine a broad range of disciplines, instrumentation, and techniques to investigate fundamental questions ranging from the atomic scale to the formation of planetary systems and beyond!
EPL researchers have access to the full suite of instrumentation available on campus with prior approval from the lab manager. Please note that all laboratories and research facilities on the Broad Branch Road campus are controlled areas. Specific training must be completed and documented before working in any laboratory facility.
