Overview
Kai Luo joins GL from the University of Florida. For the next two years, Luo will be working with Ron Cohen on a computational study of Earth's core, and geophysical modeling of the magnetic field of Earth and planets. His research interests include: electronic structure theory, in particular density functional theory, both orbital-free and Kohn-Sham schemes; free energy DFT and time-dependent DFT; and matter under extreme conditions.
