Samuel Dunning is an inorganic materials chemist interested in the discovery and synthesis of new and unusual materials. As a Postdoctoral Fellow, Dunning will be working with Tim Strobel to synthesize and characterize new carbon nanothreads at high pressure.
Dunning received his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Texas at Austin. His work was focused on the discovery of new Phosphine Coordination Materials (PCMs), a unique type of Metal-Organic Framework (MOF).
